ObjectOrb ( www.objectorb.com ) a leading healthcare IT products company today announced the release and immediate availability of eprovion™ version 1.0, a complete software system for the management of a payer's contracts with its providers.
Till recently, most payer organizations stored contracts as Word documents with little or no management of contracts. Much time was wasted in wading through contracts to find the right clause, or the right version of a contract, or even locating the details of a negotiation. eprovion™significantly simplifies contracting. The product allows payers to store versions of contracts in a central repository, to create and use a library of clauses, to enforce standard contracting language through the use of templates, and to track various details of a negotiation. eprovion™generates reminders for contract renewal and for the other tasks involved in contracting. With eprovion™organizations can create complex contracts with physicians, hospitals, ancillaries and networks. Large volumes of contracts can be handled through the product's batch contracting facility. Most organizations today use MS-Word to write and store their contracts. eprovion™integrates seamlessly with Word making it exceptionally easy for users to migrate to the platform. Because the product is designed to scale from a single-user to the enterprise, it is easy to move from the lower priced single-user configuration to an enterprise configuration.
eprovion™enables payers to store rate tables and link them with contracts easing the task of loading a contract into a claims system. The product has a provider cost modeling utility that allows contract managers to project costs based on historical claims data, and use it in contract negotiations.
Features planned in later releases include full-strength claims integration, and more sophisticated mining of contracts.
The product uses web technologies and is portable across a variety of operating systems and databases including the Microsoft and Unix platforms.
